Jason and Valerie's Wedding

Jason and Valerie's wedding was beautiful and they had so much fun.

We met for a couple portrait session the day before the wedding. Never know what is hiding behind a warehouse.

Isn't that a cool back ground? It is the warehouse floor. We used the warehouse for portraits also.

Yep, taken in the warehouse. Valerie was so brave to lay on top of new sorting table. She is beautiful.

They have an adorable son and he has the most engaging laugh...They are the cutest family.

Wedding day. In all it craziness, Jason and Valerie were able to sneak out and spend some time together before the wedding. I love the way they look at each other, it tells the whole story.

This is a sassy shot of Valerie out side, cool shadow. This shoot was taken by Shaylene Rene' (my fabulous assistant photographer)

People hate showing emotion, but for me it is the best part of any ceremony. It is real!!

Laugher is the best.

The bridal party butterfly's fluttering around.

If you want to make a groom sweat, ask him to bustle his wifes dress.

Boys and bubbles, who could resist this darling shoot.

And then there are shoes!! Another irresistible shot.

Isn't this series great!! Valerie's face is so funny and Jason is so proud.

This is the prefect way to end the night. A hug for the photographer. I love all my brides and grooms.

The Rome Bridal Shoot

My last post mentioned that I was able to do a bridal session with my oldest daughter Jenna in Europe. The shoot happened from 10 pm to about 4 am on a Saturday night and it was definitely an adventure for both of us. We received countless wishes of good fortune, a round of applause at the Trevi fountain, roses from admirers, were visited by a theif, and Jenna was even showered with a few kisses from drunk Italian men.

We were so fortunate to be loaned the dress and bolero's you see by Designing Millie. Please visither blog here, and the MILLIE website here to see more of their gorgeous dresses.

This is our first shoot, 11:00pm at the Trevi Fountain, with a crowd of about 400 people watching. Can I say intimidation!!

I set up a flash to shoot light into the fountain and a police women came to inform me that you can not have anything on the rock in the fountain...I even understood her in Italian!

This is what it looks like with out flash on the water.

We name the different poses before we went so we could look very professional. Yep this was call "The Batman". The people from Wyoming laughed.

So....we inducted the Wyoming people to be veil tossers. Good job Wyoming.

No little Bride, no sleeping, we still have the best to come. (It was only 12:30am)

Off to the Coliseum!!

ARE YOU READY? Here are my favorites. Yes!!!

Just a little wind and the veil starts to move.

Little Bride is tired, it is 2:00am now and finally everyone is almost gone.

Ok cute Italian guys, leave Miss Bride alone she has work to do!! Italian men love Brides.

Love the wind. And Jenna is kick'n it too.

One of my Fav's.

I love this effect. Very dramatic, surreal almost.

I am now holding the veil with one hand, shooting with the other. Balance is everything.

Sweet ending!

3:00am. Hey we don't look to bad for Mom and daughter. Thank you dear sweet Miss Bride.

Welcome!

This is my first blog entry! How exciting and sort of intimidating. For my first post I would like to introduce myself. I'm a central Washington photographer ready and willing to travel wherever my clients take me. I love to travel and when photography is included that makes any trip prefect.

People often ask me how long I have been a photographer. I would have to say all my life. I have always looked at the world as if it is a photograph. Did I study photography? Yes. Spending time in a black and white lab without utilizing any automatic features teaches you to really understand photography.

On this blog you will find my most recent work, as well as tips on how you can get better pictures from your photography experience. I've adopted the mantra "See the Unseen", a phrase meant to describe the results I want to provide for each and every customer. I love creating an image that others don't see and when they look at the back of my camera they say WOW!!

I am lucky enough to two beautiful daughters who are willing and able to be my models. And boy can they model. Here are a few of the many images that were taken of my "brides". We all love photography and creating beautiful images.

Meet my youngest daughter, Shaylene, who is not a bride, and has no plans to be so anywhere in the near future. She is however a fantastic photographer who acts as my second shooter throughout the Summer.

This images was taken in the Columbia River with the reflection of our beautiful northwest sky. Hanging out in the middle of the river....it was November and it was freezing!!

I've made it a habit to comb the auctions on ebay looking for dresses to use during our sessions together. The dresses I find might not be up to date in style, but they usually tend to lend a classic beauty to the photos.

Hanging out on the edge of a cliff at the Columbia Gorge is no big deal for Shaylene by now. Bridals are going to be a piece of cake for her when it's her turn for her real bridal shoot.

My oldest daughter Jenna is going to be married this October. We arranged to have a bridal shoot in Rome while we were in Europe visiting her in-laws. There are many more images that I am very excited to show you from this shoot. I'll have them ready to post here in a few days. You can visit Jenna's blog to learn more about the dress that made this shoot possible!

Thanks for visiting. Please leave me a comment and let me know how you found me!
